If you're thinking about getting a job as a Cloud Architect, you will likely have a good knowledge of cloud computing or another similar area of technology. Cloud Architect certificatoin helps you attain the skills If you're at ease with the following concepts or at least some, and you feel confident in them, then you're probably on the right path. In the event that you don't, I'd recommend doing some preliminary research or study on these topics before you begin to tackle this Cloud Architect role.
- A good understanding of, at the very least, the following operating systems: Linux, Unix, Solaris, Ubuntu, and Windows. My preferred operating system would be an all-Linux operating system (e.g., Ubuntu or Red Hat), but previous knowledge as an administrator and as an architect on any of the most well-known operating systems can also be beneficial.
- Good knowledge of networks: TCP/IP, IP addresses, and HTTP. DNS. I would suggest you get an understanding of these concepts prior to stepping into the role of cloud architect.
- Programming languages for computers: You will need at the very least a basic knowledge of a scripting or programming language. It's probably not necessary; however, it can aid.
- SecuritySecurity within the cloud environment is crucial, and as such, having a thorough understanding of important security concepts is required for a Cloud Architect. Therefore, a basic understanding of a few basic security concepts, like firewalls, is essential.
